Justin Sun Joins Forbes Billionaires List, CZ Retains Richest Crypto Tycoon Title
Justin Sun, the founder of TRON, has officially joined the ranks of the world’s wealthiest individuals, securing the 353rd spot on the Forbes World’s Billionaires List 2025 with a net worth of $8.5 billion. This marks a significant leap from earlier estimates by Arkham Intelligence, which valued his fortune at $1.4 billion in January 2024. Sun’s inclusion brings the total number of crypto billionaires on the list to sixteen, with a combined net worth surpassing $164 billion.
Meanwhile, former Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao maintains his position as the richest crypto billionaire, ranking 24th overall. His net worth has surged from $33 billion to $62.9 billion despite recent legal challenges, including fines and a four-month prison stint. Following his departure from Binance, CZ now leads YZi Labs, formerly Binance Labs, further solidifying his influence in the crypto sector.
Other notable figures on the list include Tether CFO Giancarlo Devasini ($22.4 billion), Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong ($9.2 billion), and MicroStrategy’s Michael Saylor ($7.4 billion). The Winklevoss twins, Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen, Stellar’s Jed McCaleb, and other key crypto leaders also secured spots. With the growing presence of blockchain entrepreneurs on the Forbes list, the crypto industry continues to establish itself as a major financial powerhouse.
